After adjusting for age, sex, and cohort, Seshadri and colleagues calculated that each standard deviation in BDNF was associated with a 23% reduction in risk of all-types dementia and of Alzheimer's disease (95% CI 0.64-0.93 and 0.63-0.95, respectively).
